Clear Ledger is a personal accounting app built by Gary Turnbull. Your privacy matters, and this app is designed to keep your financial data under your control.
Clear Ledger stores the financial information you create — companies, accounts, journal entries, and transaction details. All of this data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
If you are signed in to iCloud, your data is automatically synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. This means your data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Clear Ledger does not operate any servers and has no access to your iCloud data.
None. Clear Ledger does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically:
The app allows you to export your data as PDF or CSV files. These exports are generated locally on your device and shared only when you choose to via the system share sheet.
You can delete any data within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all local data. To remove synced data from iCloud, use Apple's iCloud storage management in Settings.
Clear Ledger is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
